Certified Gluten Free: What Does It Mean For You?

All of our dry rubs and seasonings have been certified gluten-free by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO) and each tin carries the GFCO logo.  What does this mean for you if you or a loved one suffers from gluten intolerance or celiac disease?

Because our products carry the GFCO Logo, this means you can confidently enjoy our products:

  1. Every ingredient in our seasonings has undergone a stringent review process of approval. Each ingredient contains 10ppm or less of gluten.
  2. Our blending and packaging facility is inspected, at minimum, annually by the GFCO. The GFCO may make periodic unannounced visits to the facility and collect samples from store shelves for testing.
  3. Every batch of our seasoning blends is tested to ensure it contains less than 10ppm of gluten using the EZ Gluten™ Test.

How is Certified Gluten-Free different than just "Gluten Free"?

The FDA requires food manufacturers that label foods as "gluten free" to self-regulate and ensure these foods less than 20ppm gluten.

However, manufacturers are not required to test their products or create their foods in a dedicated facility. This means that some foods that are labeled "gluten free" may not actually test gluten free, due to cross-contamination.

We have taken the extra step to make sure you can trust our seasonings to be gluten-free, so you can enjoy them without fear of being "glutened."
